The Broward County Code of Ethics was enacted on January 2, 2012. On December 10, 2015 Ordinance No. 2015-55 was enacted, which updates the original Code of Ethics. On February 1, 2012 the City of Wilton Manors Code of Ordinances (Section 2-352 through 2-359) was amended to include an annual registration fee.
"Lobbyist" means a person who is retained, with or without compensation, for the purpose of lobbying; or a person who is employed by another person or entity, on a full-time or part-time basis, principally to lobby on behalf of that other person or entity who seeks any action, decision, recommendation of the elected officials, city advisory board or committee members, or city staff during the time of the entire decision making process. In order to effectuate this provision, no lobbyist shall engage in any lobbying activity prior to registering as lobbyist with the applicable governmental entity, Broward County Ordinance (Section 1-19(3)(a)to(c)-in part).
